A PCO licence is valid for 3 years. To continue as a PCO licensed driver, PCO License Renewal happens every 3 years.
Usually, it takes about 6 weeks for TfL to process your PCO license renewal application; however, to ensure that you renew your PCO badge in time, you can renew your PCO licence 3 months in advance before your PCO licence expiry date.
When renewing your PCO licence, you must carry out:
- A new medical examination (TPH/204). However, if you are under 45 and do not have any major condition, you will be exempt from a medical check.
- New DBS (criminal) check
- Fee for your new PCO Badge.
Here at PCO East London, we provide PCO licence renewal package. We provide medical examination with our in-house GP (GMC registered) and we will apply for your DBS check and submit your renewal application.
Renewal application fees:
- Medical examination – £80
- DBS application – £20
- TfL PCO badge fee – £310
If your pass the expiry date and do not renew, you MUST NOT drive as a PCO driver. However, TfL allow you to renew your PCO licence within 3 months after your PCO licence expiry date. If you DO NOT renew within the 3 months, you will need to make an application as a new PCO licence driver.
